These references describe the included entries, not the entire athlete population. Brazil and international samples have different coverage and time periods. The middle range is neither an error margin nor a prediction of your next result.

A good Wall Balls time needs a benchmark that matches your division and comparison group. The duration of the final station also carries the context of everything that came before it. One number cannot explain how you executed the race.

The lookup above lets you choose your category, age and race location. Your time is optional: you can simply explore the group or enter the split published in your result. A summary table remains available if you prefer a direct overview.

Wall Balls weights, repetitions and target height

In Singles, the task is 100 valid repetitions. The loads are 4 kg for Women Open, 6 kg for Women Pro and Men Open, and 9 kg for Men Pro. The target is 2.70 m for women and 3.00 m for men.

The movement requires a squat with the hips below the knees and contact with the correct target. An invalid execution does not count as a repetition. Check the full standards and judging requirements in section 8.8 of the 2026/27 Singles rulebook, reviewed for this guide on 26 October 2026. This page's benchmarks do not automatically apply to doubles.

How can I tell whether my split was good?

First, select your own group. Your time may be among the fastest, within the most common range or above it. That position describes the split from this participation; it does not label your ability as an athlete.

The typical benchmark is the time with approximately half the results on each side. The most common range is the central half of the times, with roughly one quarter below and one quarter above. It is neither a margin of error nor a mandatory target.

If your time was above that range, it is worth investigating how the station unfolded. This does not prove insufficient strength, a technical error or a number of seconds you will be able to recover. A fast split does not guarantee a balanced race either.

A lookup example, without needing to understand statistics

The Men Open, age 35–39, races in Brazil sample contains 631 participations across 5 events. The typical Wall Balls benchmark is 6:21, and the central range runs from 5:13 to 7:52.

If you enter 6:30, the lookup will show that this time is within the central range and 9 seconds above the typical benchmark. This is an illustrative reading example, not a specific athlete's result or a prediction of improvement.

For a more focused discussion, compare within your own event edition too. The Brazil filter combines different races; it does not reproduce all the conditions of your start.

The split does not count your pauses or no-reps

The clock records a duration. The same split can result from different sequences of work and rest. The database used here cannot reconstruct how many repetitions each person completed before resting or assign an individual duration to invalid repetitions.

Think back to the race: did you reach the station at the effort level you expected? Could you maintain your execution? Did you need different pauses from those you practiced? Did the judge give any feedback? Where available, video can help you check these questions.

In the real São Paulo example, Wall Balls was the longest station, but its time was below that group's central benchmark. This shows why the task that takes the longest need not be the main area to investigate.

Brazil and international: two benchmarks, not a choice of whichever looks better

The groups cover different periods, events and participant mixes. Comparing the numbers can help you explore the archive, but does not show that one country has better athletes or an easier course. Brazil and international refer to where the races took place, not the participants' nationalities.

The most useful comparison for reviewing a participation starts with the same event edition. When extending the comparison to other races, keep that context visible.

How we built the benchmarks

The data were extracted on 26 October 2026 for Open and Pro Singles, with men's and women's categories kept separate. The Brazil sample contains 4,484 participations across 5 events, from 20 September 2025 to 18 October 2026. The international sample contains 200,374 across 70 events, from 19 July 2025 to 9 August 2026.

These are participations, not unique athletes. The same person may appear at different events. The international sample uses 70 dated editions from the previously reconciled archive; other editions in the database are not included in this version. Differences between Brazil and international benchmarks may also reflect coverage, period, participant profiles and timing conditions.

We started with original categories, removing repeated aggregate views and duplicate or inconsistent records. We required a positive, ranked finish time, a single valid station split and no stored penalty for that split. Historical provisional-result flags and recorded discrepancies in the sum of splits were also excluded. The absence of a flag does not certify official confirmation of every record.

During extreme-time screening, times outside 1:00 to 40:00 were excluded from the benchmarks for specific review. This does not mean every excluded time is invalid. The lookup describes only the screened sample.

Ranges were calculated across participations, rather than by averaging event medians. The typical benchmark divides the times in half; the most common range contains approximately the central half; the first mark of that range separates approximately the fastest 25%. Values are rounded to the nearest second and may include ties.

We show ranges with at least 50 participations across three events. With 20 participations across two events, we display only an initial benchmark. Below that, we do not classify the time. These criteria help limit conclusions in small groups; they are not confidence percentages.

Original results are accessible through the portal linked by HYROX Brasil. The tasks for the seasons analyzed were checked against the 2025/26 rulebook and the 2026/27 rulebook. This is an independent OUTLIER interpretation, subject to corrections at the source.
